Tasks in GoTaskhub
Updated 2025-11-06
Tasks in GoTaskhub help you organize work, track progress, and keep files, notes, and communication together. Use lists or a Kanban board, apply labels, set due dates and reminders, and automate repetitive steps to save time.
What you can do with Tasks
- Views: Switch between List and Board (Kanban) to fit your workflow.
- Fields: Title, description, assignee, due date, priority, labels.
- Attachments: Upload files and images; preview them inside the task.
- Comments & activity: Keep conversation and history in one place.
- Reminders & recurring: Get notified and auto-repeat tasks on a schedule.
- Automations: Trigger reminders, status changes, and follow-ups.
Before you start
- Decide on your board stages (e.g., To-do, In Progress, Waiting, Done).
- Set up labels for quick filtering (e.g., Urgent, Quote, Invoice, Site Visit).
- Add team members so you can assign tasks and collaborate.
Create your first task
- Go to Dashboard → Tasks and click New Task.
- Enter a clear title and optional description. Add labels to categorize.
- Assign the task to yourself or a teammate, and set a due date.
- (Optional) Add attachments like photos, PDFs, or documents.
- Click Save. You can move it across the board as work progresses.
Organize with boards, filters, and labels
Use Board view to drag tasks between stages. Filter by label, assignee, or due date to focus on what matters today.
Reminders and recurring tasks
- Add a reminder to get notified ahead of the due date (you can set lead time like 1h, 1d).
- Set the task to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly for recurring routines (e.g., site checks).
Attachments, comments, and activity
Keep everything in context. Upload files to the task, leave comments for teammates, and review the activity log for changes, sends, and status updates.
Automations (save time on repeat work)
- Auto-set labels or assignees when a task enters a stage.
- Send reminders before due dates, or when tasks get stuck.
- Create follow-up tasks when related quotes or invoices change status.
Troubleshooting
I can’t move a task to Done
Check if there’s a required field (like assignee or due date) missing. Some stages may enforce completion rules via automations.
My reminder didn’t fire
Verify the due date and reminder time are in the future and notifications are enabled.
I don’t see my teammate in Assignee
Make sure the teammate has been invited and has access to the workspace.
